Facts, not fear
Modern clearSkies-certified stoves like Aire Intelligent cut particulate emissions by up to 90 percent compared with an open fire and around 80 percent versus an older pre-Ecodesign stove. Independent data from Defra’s latest National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory shows that cleaner appliances and dry-wood fuel are already driving down national PM 2.5 levels despite record stove sales. Yet some campaigns continue to cite outdated figures or lump all forms of domestic burning together which misleads the public.
We have repeatedly offered to share and discuss our test data and innovations with Global Action Plan and other groups behind Clean Air Night but, to date, have received no meaningful engagement. Our invitation remains open because we believe the best outcomes come from collaboration and accurate information, not scare-stories.
